I LOVE love LOVE Jrock! ^_^
Can i say i love it more than Jpop cuurently? *hides*
I'm such a gone-case >_<" but I STILL love Jpop! :P
Maybe i'm just having way too much fun discovering the world of Jrock XD
So i was soooooo very wrong when i thought MOST Jrock stuff sound the same *kicks self* >_<"
Currently, my top fav bands are GazettE & kagrra,...cant say which one i love more though...they're both such awesome bands! *o*
I love GazettE because i LOVE Ruki! XD Nah not just that of course! I love their awesome music & great lyrics too! ^_^ Cant really say why but Ruki's vocals attract me alot *giggles* With that, i cant possibly NOT love GazettE XD
And kagrra,...they're just undeniably awesome & unique...no other jrock band can produce stuff like theirs for sure...the way they mix traditional sounds with rockish music kills me...they're seriously like no other...and i'm ready to swear no other male can sing like Isshi...i know i must have said this a million times, but his vocal range is crazy...even the lyrics Isshi writes are like no other lyricist, no matter how good they are...obviously, kagrra, is LOVE...and i LOVE each & every kagrra, member *beams*
Other great bands i discovered include...
Marusa - It makes me wanna cry whenever i think that they've ALREADY disbanded T_T like WHY?! Awesome songs plus awesome vocals...i really cant imagine what went wrong for them T_T and even worst, i've YET to hear about any Marusa member joining another band or whatever...so dont tell me they're just gone like that? T____T given Kei's vocals, he could have easily made it as a solo singer T_T when singing noisy songs, his vocals wont get drowned out by the music because its strong enough...and when singing softer tunes, his voice tends to sound kinda whispery & husky which sounds really nice IMO...he can also hit high notes without sounding screechy or forced...i LOVE his vocals T___T
Antique Cafe - Frankly speaking, i havent heard too much of their songs :P but Miku's got decent vocals...his vocals totally DONT match his face though...cause i swear he looks too freaking cute to be true XD his vocals sound just like most decent jrock vocalists...i kinda like the weird noises they have in their songs...not very obvious ones but you'll hear them when you blast the song in your ears XD its cute & i think their songs sound pretty decent...decent music + decent vocals = nothing much to pick at XD dont remember hearing sad songs from them though...they always seem so NYAPPILY happy XD
Vidoll - Nice music & beautiful vocals...Jui's vocals really shine in rock ballads like Hitori-kiri no Kurixxsu...i swear i melted when i heard the chorus for the 1st time...pitchy, sad & nice chorus...Jui sang it soooo darn well i'm convinced hes a good vocalist XD but seriously, Jui had nice vocals to start with...add it with his good singing skills, hes definitely sounding great ^_^
Girugamesh - Alright i admit i've only heard of 1 song from them...thats my blog song, Fukai no Yami...and seriously, this song blew me away...i liked the dark title so i tried out the song...and HOLY...this song is freaking awesome! Definitely one of my top fav rock ballads...Satoshi sounds really good here & i love how he uses abit of falsetto in the chorus *o* this song makes me wanna cry whenever i listen to it...its just so damn sad! T_T the lyrics are really depressing too T_T Well i'm very interested to try out more of their stuff, but from their image...i'm guessing their stuff will be mainly heavy metal >_<"
