No matter how many songs i fall in love with, nothing will change the meaning this one song has for me. its the song that changed my life. and that song is Kagrra,'s Utakata ^_^
i knew of Kagrra, since long ago actually. in fact, i even had some of their songs. even back then, i felt they're good. but i didnt really find them half as godly as they are now (in my heart) :P
yet everything changed because of Utakata. i still remember how i died over the start of the song. the way Isshi's softly sang the verse that marked the start of this masterpiece killed me. and after that verse, i was killed by the beautiful sound of koto (played by Shin! *o*). i'm sure many people would agree with me that Utakata sounds like its got 2 different choruses, because the 1st & 2nd parts of the chorus sound like 2 complete choruses of their own. so i was really pleasantly surprised when i heard the 2nd part of the 1st chorus. well thats an understatement because i totally died XD and Utakata totally replaced Haru Urara as my fav song from Kagrra, after the 1st listen. after that i had it on repeat for more than 2 weeks because i just cant get enough of it :P
went on to watch the PV on youtube & i can hardly believe what i'm seeing. afterall, all the Kagrra, PVs i've ever seen were from their heavily visual period. to be exact, Utakata/Sakebi single is when Kagrra, dumped their kimonos/kimono-influenced attires totally. of course i didnt know a single Kagrra, member back then, but i felt they all look soooooo really good! and thats nice to know, because i used to think they're all quite ugly (no idea how i came to that conclusion) -_-"
so anyway, i started to listen to all the Kagrra, songs i have again. and this time, i fell in love with them totally. and because i love them soooo much, i decided to try out Jrock ^_^ thats a big change, since i used to think all rock songs sound the same (even though i did like noiser pop songs) :P
and obviously thats how i became so obsessed with Jrock. its really sooooo good! m(_ _)m and some of the 1st bands i listened to are FIORE, Marusa, the GazettE, girugamesh, An Cafe & SID ^_^ all these bands are great & they're still in my list of favs now, though Marusa disbanded ages ago ^_^ but my heart wont cringe over Marusa anymore, because lovely Kei is now in Viored & Viored kicks too much ass *o* frankly speaking, i dont even know if FIORE is still around because their OHP has been down for ages. either that, or it moved & i've never been able to locate it -_-" and i'll confess i was a cafekko (aka An Cafe fan) back then, thanks to Tekesuta Kousen. but as i listened to more Jrock, i began to realise which kind of sound i like best & i decided An Cafe isnt really my cup of tea. that doesnt mean i DONT like them though. i still like them & enjoy their songs, but i'm not worshipping them at all.
