Once again, i'm in the mood to rant about horrible fangirls :P
i'm starting to think they're my most hated species on earth -_-
and by horrible, i mean those who choose their "idols" based on good looks.
here, i'm referring to people who CLAIM themselves to be fans of certain people when they know NOTHING. i'll NEVER get how you can like a certain band when you've hardly heard their songs before. isnt that totally defeating the reason why that band is standing on stage? i'm sure ultimately, every true musician will want people to recognise them for their music talents & not other stuff like looks. if you find that certain band attractive because of handsome band members, why not go try out their music? thats what i'll do, but somehow some people will just IMMEDIATELY go find out the name of whoevers hot & CLAIM themselves as fans. thats as good as saying their idol's just a pretty face with no music talent whatsoever. its weird why such fans have never felt what they're doing is actually kinda insulting to their "idols". its the same with people who try to be part of the fandom. a good-looking someone's name is all they need. after that, they'll go on a piccies hunt & next thing you know, they're looking like real hardcore fangirls already, but they still have NOT listened to anything from their "idol" yet. but for bands with no real talent to speak of, such fans are of course the reason why they're selling well. but in the case of such bands, their fans will always say how freaking drop-dead awesome their idols' songs are, even when they obviously suck. IMO, looks & music talents should be judged separately. good-looking people can go be models or actors. you dont have to look hot to compose kickass awesome tunes or sing like an angel. looks are just part of the package, and anyone who has money can look good thanks to plastic surgery. but its just too bad money cant buy you talent or super vocals. even if you can bribe people into selling you their compositions without taking any credit, some people just have voices that arent suited for singing regardless the number of singing lessons they take.
theres a difference between fangirls who choose idols based on looks & fangirls who use a good-looking guy/band to get into the fandom. the 1st kind are those who actually may have heard a few songs by their idols. problem is, they dont really find their idols' music anything too impressive & neither are those songs the top choices in their playlists. so whatever the reason, they definitely did NOT like their idols because of their music. the 2nd kind, simply said, they just want to be part of the fandom. thus, it doesnt really matter if their idols have any music talent or not, as long as they have someone good-looking to show off to everyone. they must think being part of the fandom is cool or what, but they're pretty much lameshit.
so IMO, the 1st kind is worse & definitely my most hated kind. liking someone for their good looks when you havent heard of their music before is less insulting to the idols concerned. well why else would the 2nd kind like their idols then? but in the case of the 1st kind, they're simply insulting their idols music. you dont have to worship them if you think their music is nothing much, just because they look good.
thank god theres always still the good fangirls around ^_^ i dont know about other countries, but i really do think majority fangirls here suckass. they're either the 1st kind or the 2nd kind, and both kinds arent nice.
and yes, i know i'm freaking bitchy when it comes to such stuff.
but so what? i'm allowed to have my own opinions, i dont need nobody to agree with me, i'm not kind enough to forgive f-uped fangirls, and sadly nobody can make me change my views.
